ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

               Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or

an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD for reserve post or those who passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19.09.1991 and hold a Ph.D. degree) at the Master’s degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University or anequivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

                  Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC.


GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

         Candidate who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the University Grant Commission (Minimum standards and procedure for awards of M. Phil/Ph.D. degree), Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.

         NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Master’ Degree Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET accredited test is not conducted.

         The candidates already in service must apply through proper channel.

         The College reserves its right not to fill up any or all the post(s) advertised and to increase or decrease the number of post(s) as per requirement of workload and roster.

         Separate applications have to be submitted for each post. All those candidates who had applied in response to our earlier advertisement published in the year 2014 needs to apply afresh.

         All the posts will be filled as per the Recruitment Rules of the University of Delhi. The qualifications and other service conditions shall be such as prescribed by the University of Delhi from time to time.

         Candidates should possess the prescribed educational qualification and experience as on the closing date of application.

         Candidates should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered, fabricated or suppress any material / information while submitting the application. Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification.

         The College reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post(s) at any time without giving any reason. Any consequential vacancies arising at the time of Interview may also be filled up from the available candidates.

         Candidates called for the interview shall do so at their own expenses. No TA/DA shall be paid.

         The college shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidate are false or the candidate has suppressed relevant information, then his/her services shall be terminated without prejudice to any other action initiated by the college.

         The last date for submission of online application is midnight of 09 January 2016.

         Corrigendum, if any, will be published on the College website only.

            The applicant are also required to submit a copy, of the filled online form generated after payment along with self attested copies of required documents in support of qualification and experience, to college within 7 days from the date of filling of the form. The hard copy should be addressed to “Principal, Satyawati College (Evening), Ashok Vihar Phase-III, Delhi – 110052” and superscribed “Application for the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of

………………..”. Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the finally submitted online application for future reference or for any correspondence with the College.

            Log on to www.satyawatievedu.ac.in

            The candidates are instructed to read carefully the detailed instructions before filling the online form.

            College will accept the application form through online mode only. Applications other than online mode will not be accepted.

            Before filling up the form, candidates are advised to carefully go through the Advertisement available on the college website and confirm their eligibility with regard to qualification/ experience/age etc. before submitting the online application form.Applications which do not meet the criteria given in this advertisement & / or incomplete applications are liable to be summarily rejected

            Before filling the online application form, the following should be kept ready:

Scanned photograph.

Valid e-mail ID.Candidates are advised to keep the email ID (to be entered compulsorily in the application form) active for at least one year. No change in the email ID will be allowed once entered. All Correspondence from the College including interview call, if any shall be sent to the e-mail ID provided by the candidate.

Valid Mobile No.

The application fee is Rs. 500/- for General/OBC applicants and Rs. 150/- for

SC/ST candidates. This is payable through online mode only and is non-refundable. No application fee is applicable for PwD candidates.

            Field with (*) marks are mandatory and essential to be filled in by the candidate.

            In order to avoid last minute rush, the candidates are advised to apply early enough, college will not be responsible for any network problem or technical reasons or any other such type of problem.

            The online applications received may be screened for the short listing and recommending the candidates to be called for the interview. More stringent criteria may be applied for short-listing the candidates to be called for interview. Publications ‘under submission’ or submitted to referees will not be considered towards points for publication criteria. Further, all the items for which points are claimed should be strictly in accordance with the screening guidelines of the UGC / University of Delhi.
